Company description

D’Ieteren, employing approximately 2,000 people, reported a turnover of €3.6 billion in 2022, with an adjusted result of €150.2 million for around 50 entities to be consolidated.

The company is currently seeking a Treasury and Cash Management Analyst for its headquarters in Brussels.

Responsibilities 

The Treasury and Cash Management Analyst will support the Head of Treasury/Funding/Corporate Finance/M&A in managing the treasury operations and cash management activities across D’Ieteren Automotive and their subsidiaries. He/She will be responsible for ensuring the optimal liquidity and cash flow of the group, organizing treasury reporting, as well as implementing and monitoring treasury policies and procedures. The candidate will also participate in various treasury projects, such as process and systems improvements, cash pooling organization, cash flow and financial results forecasting, sourcing of funds, and bank relationship management.

The main areas of responsibilities will include the following (non-exhaustive list):

Treasury operations

  • Execute daily cash management activities, such as bank account transfers, payments, cash pooling, and intercompany loans.
  • Monitor the cash positions and balances of the group entities, ensuring sufficient liquidity and compliance with treasury policies.
  • Reconcile bank statements and transactions, and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Process and confirm treasury transactions, such as deposits, investments (money market funds, commercial papers…etc) and loans.
  • Maintain and update the treasury management system and other relevant systems and tools.

Cash management

  • Prepare and analyse cash flow forecasts and reports for the group and its entities, identifying and explaining variances and trends.
  • Actively contribute to the understanding and monitoring of the finance results of D’Ieteren and financial modelling in the context of budgets, forecasts and financial planning.
  • Support the optimization of the cash flow and working capital management of the group, by identifying and implementing best practices and initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and review of treasury policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the group's strategy and objectives.
  • Support the treasury risk management, by monitoring and reporting on the interest rate and counterparty exposures of the group.
  • Support the bank relationship management, by liaising with banks and other financial institutions on various treasury matters.
  • Participate in various treasury projects, such as cash pooling optimization, treasury system implementation, bank rationalization, and process improvement.

Profile

  • You have a 3-5 years of relevant treasury or cash management experience, preferably in a multinational or complex environment.
  • You have a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • You have a strong knowledge of treasury operations, cash management, and treasury risk management.
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have a proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • You are proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and have experience with treasury management systems (such as Kyriba).
  • You are fluent in English and French or Dutch.
