Highway Import – New Vehicles


Product & Development Supervisor


Reports to Highway Import New Vehicles

Purpose of the position:

Support the design of solutions and monitor the working of the team under his/her responsibility in order to guarantee the management, continuous development and improvement of the assigned area as well as the satisfaction of internal and external customers.


Respect the IT strategy in the context of projects and maintenance in his/her area of activity.

Support the Highway Manager in developing the budget for the assigned area.

Monitor the approved budget for his/her projects and maintenance.

Advise the business to define its needs and help it formulate its request concerning applications underway thanks to his/her expertise and experience in the field.

Participate in the identification of optimal solutions meeting the needs of the business and its constraints (timing, budget etc.)

Be the single point of contact of the fabrics.

Participate in transversal projects

Project involvement:

  • Plan and monitor the progress of his/her projects and maintenance in order to achieve the predefined objectives.
  • Coordinate the projects entrusted to him/her in different phases (start-up, design, testing, implementation, evaluation, transmission of the project, etc.)
  • Report the difficulties encountered (lack of resources, blockages, overlap, collaboration difficulties, technical/IT problems, etc.) as well as the differences in scope, cost, timing towards management while providing solutions, as well as ensuring optimal communication with his/her line management as well as with the parties involved (internally and externally) and with the bodies concerned (e.g. IT Boards) in the various projects and requests.
  • Oversee updating of project and maintenance documentation and ensure transition after deployments and implementations (handover).

Ensure, in collaboration with the persons responsible, that users accept the new tools, procedures and software implemented.

Ensure that all business requests are made known to his/her Highway Manager and prioritised by the Product Owner.

Act as a technical/operational expert within the assigned IT area, study trends and developments in the market and solve complex problems in order to use the knowledge acquired in an optimal manner.

Analyse and advise in the event of questions, problems and critical incidents and also coordinate technical solutions to guarantee the optimal working of the department and the IT solutions developed.

Promote the simplification and improvement of complex processes related to his/her area and document them.

Provide final level helpdesk support (analysis of operational problems, implementation of lasting solutions and possible collection of change requests passing through this channel).

Follow up on contacts with suppliers and fabrics, assess the services delivered and contribute to the selection of new suppliers in order to guarantee the quality and continuity of the service.

Analyse and challenge the quotes/estimates made by our external service providers.

Monitor and challenge the quality of work.

Manage and coordinate the team of internal colleagues and external service providers.

Participate in the selection of internal and external colleagues (e.g. project team).


Master's degree or equivalent experience

Extensive professional experience (minimum 5 years)

Ability to quickly learn and master new applications and technologies

Project management knowledge

Knowledge of the company’s internal (work) structure and procedures and operational flows

Solution oriented, excellent analytical skills, critical and logical approach

Good team spirit

Communicative, assertive, decisive

Excellent French and English (verbal and written) knowledge and Dutch is a nice to have
