Budget and Planning Analyst | D'Ieteren Auto | Brussels

Duties

  • Prepares financial reporting (monthly, half-year and annual close) in order to create a map of strategic objectives and assist with the understanding of the strategic and operational challenges of the various entities/subsidiaries/Business Units
  • Defines the budget preparation process (budget/forecast/plan, etc.) and any potential adjustment procedures to ensure dissemination and coordinate their application
  • Conducts ad hoc analyses (identification of variances) and ensures monitoring to contribute to the ongoing improvement of financial management
  • Ensures data consistency/reliability and ensures their consolidation for feedback
  • Enjoys complete autonomy with respect to work organisation. Is able to take important decisions within the scope of the position in close cooperation with the Head of Budget & Controlling


Environment and main work relationships

  • In contact with all subsidiaries/departments and Business Units of D’Ieteren Auto and in close liaison with general management
  • Cross-functional role with the various entities (Business Units and support functions) of D’Ieteren Auto which implies excellent communication skills and customer focus
  • Contact with external auditors, jointly with the Head of Budget & Controlling within the framework of financial audits

Main tools used

  • SAP (FI/CO module), BPC and Analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint/Excel/, etc.)
  • Experience managing databases

Required education and qualifications

  • Master’s degree (economics) or management engineer with several years of experience as a business controller or other type of financial position (audit, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of P&L statement mechanics, ideally already familiar with forecasting modules and able to explain budget information (key messages, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and empathy for the challenges facing counterparties
  • Ability to operate in an environment with many stakeholders which changes quickly and constantly
  • Excellent analytical skills (while maintaining focus on details)
  • Languages : French or Dutch with good knowledge of the second language
